Leverkusen

Leverkusen is a small city in Germany with only 161,000 inhabitants. However, the city is the home town of football club Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Bayer Leverkusen have played at the top tier of German football – the Bundesliga – since 1979. They play all their home matches at the BayArena, a beautiful stadium which has its own hotel integrated in the North Curve. The hotel is an attraction in itself.

Discover Leverkusen during football trip to Bayer 04 Leverkusen

In 2010, the Rathaus-Galerie was built in the city centre of Leverkusen. The square building is crowned by a UFO-like glass rotunda, containing the town hall and the municipal library. At night, the roof illuminates the nearby bars and cafes.

Besides Leverkusen’s Rathaus-Galerie and beautiful Japanese Garden, there is not much else to do or see. However, the vibrant city of Cologne is only a 30-minute drive from Leverkusen. Contrary to Leverkusen, the choice of pubs, restaurants and terraces is endless in Cologne.
