Football trips Manchester City

Manchester City, also known as The Citizens, is an English football club founded in 1880. It is one of the 2 big clubs of the city of Manchester. In the late 60s they had their first major period of success, winning the Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup. In 1981 the club lost the FA Cup final and after that things went downhill, ending in the third tier of English football.

Early 2000s, Manchester City had fought its way back up to the Premier League, and in 2008, the club was purchased by Abu Dhabi United Group. After that things got better and last season things got sky high. The club has won 4 League-titles since 2012. Last season the club also won the treble: besides the League-title they have won the League Cup as well as the FA Cup.

The year of 2013 was a sad year for Manchester City: young player Marc-Vivien Foé died from a heart attack on the field during the 2003 FIFA Confederations Cup. Since his death, Manchester City has not issued the squad number 23.

Manchester City have played their home matches in the Etihad Stadium since 2003. The stadium has a capacity of over 55,000. The club has a great team that many other clubs are jealous of, with players such as Kevin de Bruyne, David Silva, Leroy Sané, Sergio Agüero and new signed Rodri from Atlético Madrid. With Pep Guardiola as a head coach, Manchester City plays a more attractive game of football than ever before, defending their last year League title once again.
